Friday 29th May 2020
Following the announcement by the government on 28th May, we are incredibly pleased to announce that we will be opening Williams Dental Practice from Monday 8th June 2020.
We have had to cancel numerous appointments since the lock-down began and will initially be prioritising appointments for our patients who have had dental emergencies or problems, in order of urgency. Please do not attend the practice unless you have an appointment. We are aware that there are many patients who are waiting to hear from us, and please rest assured we will be in touch.
We do not know yet, when we be able to commence routine appointments; check-ups and hygienist visits, but we hope this will be within a few more weeks. We will provide updates on these appointments as soon as we can.
We have been working hard behind the scenes, and the most important thing is our team and patients’ safety and comfort, and that is why we have spent the time of closure introducing measures to keep our patients and staff safer than ever.
As you are aware, our surgeries have always been very clean and safe environments. However, we have upgraded our PPE and re-designed the patient journey in line with social distancing.
We will be conducting pre-screening tests of patients and this is likely to include taking your temperature on arrival.
We will be booking appointments to ensure that the practice and waiting areas are not overcrowded, making sure that you can attend the practice while maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines.
To further avoid overcrowding, there will be a doorbell at the main entry to the practice which you will be asked to press on arrival and wait to be brought into the building by a member of staff. We may ask you to update medical history details via an online form, and we will be asking for contactless payment where possible as this all greatly reduces the touch points around the practice.
Between all appointments as always, the clinical team will thoroughly disinfect the dental surgery.
We thank you for your patience during this difficult time and look forward to seeing you again soon!
With best wishes
Amreeta, Vernon, Christopher and all the team at Williams Dental Practice.
